I agree totally. And the leaders just don’t get it. It isn’t just about saving a buck, because even free things are no good if they don’t have a “priesthood purpose”. Which really tans my hide because women don’t have priesthood, and calling it “priesthood purpose” is so so bling to the fact that women are people, not just extensions of the nearest man.

Hear him and a few others didn't take. While I'm anxious for "covenant path" to go away forever, I'd rather it be replaced with nothing.

I don't doubt Nelson's sincerity in his comments about covenants, kingdoms of glory, etc. but it sounds like an extremely sad and dissatisfying way to live, at least to me. A life centered on anxiety over a coming life that isn't here yet. A life centered over your family relationships being held hostage/for ransom. No thanks.

Gotta say, church revenues must be way down.

I don't pay very close attention but it seems like several conferences have gone by without a mention of tithing. I've heard references to tithing in at least a half dozen talks this conference.
