The Mormon church is looking to crack down on... garments?!

One recent thing said by some church leader (I don’t know who) was the garments remind us of the veil. This sounded like some new gospel approach, but I’m not entirely sure. One thing we learn in the temple is the marking on the individual garments are found on the veil. I suppose the garments do remind us of the veil, but I don’t understand how being reminded of the veil actually helps with anything.
