This is the sort of evidence we should be finding SOMEWHERE.....ANYWHERE.....in America if the Book of Mormon were factual.

God is hiding the evidence so we can exercise faith.
It's basically the same as when he put fossils in layers that very strongly suggest gradual evolution of simple species into more complex ones.
Or when he kills one kid in a Utah hospital so he can save another kid who got a priesthood blessing, so the statistics don't give him away. Same deal.

Maybe it's under Bednar's pickle.

You are referring to the doctrine that cucumbers must be thoroughly immersed in brine before they can become pickles and that they must also be blessed by a rabbi before they can be confirmed as kosher pickles.

No doubt, this is intriguing as a piece of information about the ruling class of the Hebrews. It's nice to see real world confirmation of someone in the Bible. But the Book of Mormon cheerleaders are really grasping here. If this had been found in the Americas then it would have been a very intriguing find. Instead, it's just as boring as "NHM" found out in the Arabian wilderness. It does nothing to center the Book of Mormon in the western hemisphere.

I assume that the archaeologists in this article are respected in their field. Which is more than we can say about the false-peer reviewed pseudo journal that Mormonism can boast.

The Altar donated to the Temple of the Queen of Sheba by Bi‘athtar, son of Sawad, son of Naw‘an, the Nihmite, reads as follows (if you place a seer stone on the Altar and cover your face with your hat), "I Bi'athtar certify that this is the place where Lehi and the Nephites stopped on their journey to the Americas. May they bless us with a reference in their Book of Mormon. PS. Any future translator should feel free to spell this location as Nahom".
