2017 Brodie Awards

Post by consiglieri » Wed Feb 21, 2018 3:53 pm

It was brought to my attention last night that Radio Free Mormon won the Brodie Award for best new podcast in 2017.

I didn't even know it had been nominated.

All the Best!

I voted for you about 15 times before I got tired of clearing my cache each time.

Consider it Russian meddling in your election!

Maybe you can do a shout out in your next podcast as a way to say thanks!

Congratulations, Consiglieri! Now if Red Ryder can successfully lobby for Podcast of the Millenia, that will add to the excitement.

Not sure what happened with r/exmormon being chosen as best LDS interest discussion group, but perhaps there is a limit on how many times NOM 2.0 can win.

I can readily see how following won best history documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2F5Cnz ... 2s&index=3
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

We simply can't have both "Radio Free Mormon" win a Brodie award in the same year with NOM 2.0. Too much Russian collusion was alleged during the 2016 national elections. The conspiracy theorists in the COB would have drawn ridiculous conclusions about Putin having a login to NOM along with providing financial support. Comrade, I assure you that it was just a couple of bored engineers and CPAs who put this together, totally not Russian apostates. Capiche, Tovarisch?

I had almost forgot about the evil apostate videos! That was great! That dragon puppet with the Count Chocula voice always cracks me up!

Thanks for all your extra help with the win, Red Ryder!

I have it on good authority that FAIRMormon podcast did a similar thing in order to win a national religious podcast popularity award a few years back.

Only they had about 150 people on staff who spent quite a bit of time voting many, many times each for the FAIRMormon podcast.

It must have worked because they won!

But at the awards ceremony, they didn't mention anything about how they managed to win in their acceptance speech.

Believe it . . . or not!

Consiglieri, you have a wonderful podcast. There is so much material available, I expect you will be casting for a while.

And I will listen and enjoy them all. :-)
