Faith Crisis quiz

See how well you do on the new faith crisis quiz. I managed a 95 thanks to my unhealthy obsession.

No, I won't be taking the quiz again to "improve" my score. :|

96% - I wish I could've scored like this on real tests back in the day!

This quiz brings up a ton of important points, but good luck sending this to someone who is a TBM in order to get them thinking... way too many leading questions and they would bail pretty quickly IMO.

In the interest of honest disclosure to TBMs, this mentions a study by the church, but the study/report referenced was not conducted or published or approved by the church. It was conducted by NOMs.

Did I misunderstand that aspect? The Faith Crisis report was not commissioned by the church?

Correct, it was initiative taken by Greg Prince and some other scholars and given to Marlin Jensen, who in turn forwarded it to DU.

Street cred: 93%.

This question elicited a derisive snort:
75. According to one research source, how many instances of the Church purposely hiding or censoring information can readily be documented?
Which "one research source" now?

Amazingly, just like in half the questions before it, you can get it CORRECT! by choosing the answer that makes the church look worst.

This isn't a quiz. It's circle jerk fuel.

Yep... it's interesting as you go through it, but no way in hell would any TBM get through this and be open to looking at a single question further given the tone/leading questions/etc of the quiz.

For people who have not done it yet, the quiz is 100 questions long, so plan on taking a while to go through it.

Thanks for the heads up. I did it anyway- got a 94.

Try adding this question.

Question #101. A NOM could be: A. A temple recommend holder.
B. A Church leader, such as a bishop or auxiliary president.
C. A person who struggles with one or more issues with LDS church doctrine.
D. A person who realizes "There have been mistakes made" by Church leaders or members.
E. All of the above. ;)

Definitely a quiz for the disaffected, not the TBMs in our lives. But the points are solid.
