There's one unintended consequence of this timeline.

My great great great grand parents were married there.

My great great grand parents were married there.

My great grandparents were married there.

My grandparents were married there.

My parents were married there.

I was married there.

My kids won't be married there; it's closed for renovations.

I guess they could still get there pictures taken outside in the same slot? Who knows?

I've also heard they are going to be installing these round tubes about 25 ft high but that nobody knows why.

Speculation is that they are building teleportation tubes based on the spirit's proactive discernment.

Sorta like the elevator shafts.

I heard they had bought all the old Star Trek transporter sets.

Time to try out the glamorous new Kinshasa Temple.

The movie they played the fist time I went though kind of started out like Star Trek. I was all hopeful for a few seconds...then I was super disappointed.

This has implications that the apostles either don't see or simply hope we don't notice. Either the Second Coming is at least four years away, or real estate will still need to have modern maintenance despite being in a paradisiacal state following the Return of Jesus. Four years isn't bad, but the property development project in Florida is supposed to go on for at least another 50 years. I would like to be optimistic about my mortality, but 5 more decades seems unlikely.

I know that the faithful response is that we have to prepare for the long future but be ready for Jesus to come back tomorrow. The actions of the institutional LDS church do not fill me with that confidence. It feels like LDS leadership is not planning to see Jesus again in their mortal lifetimes and their is no reason to cash in my 401k nor to give up drinking coffee.

Temple legend has it that the first words spoken after the elevator was installed were, "Hodor, Hodor".

Prophetically, these elevator riders predicted Game of Thrones many years before George R. R. Martin wrote his books.

I am in the construction industry. Love these projects. If we get that job we are set for awhile.

So when everyone bashes the building the church does that is a lot of jobs we are talking about.
