Joseph Smith's FamilySearch page

Post by TheRunningmom » Tue Dec 06, 2016 9:49 am

Has anybody looked at this recently?

Joseph Smith Jr.

Some interesting things:
*It's read only (Completely understandable. It didn't used to be this way though)
*42 wives are listed; only the first 17 have marriage dates/locations listed
*On the right hand side of the page you can look at the changes that have been made. Several wives were added in 2015.
*Check out the memories tab, particularly the two documents below:

When I first started down the rabbit hole, I looked JSJ up on Family search to see if it would help disprove anything. To my surprise, it listed 55 wives for him, although 8 were sealed to him after his death. Over the last few years it has varied quite a bit. At one time it was down to 25 with 4 of them being posthumous sealings.

Kind of makes you wonder what else they will find out and have to update.

I have used this page to carefully stress the belief shelves of my family. Results have been mixed, but the church cannot get rid of accurate information on Joseph Smith quite that easily.
