Want some poetry? Budding Poet in training...Whee!

Post by Apologeticsislying » Sun Oct 06, 2019 5:48 pm

So if the brute body is the haunt of the ghostly soul,
Tell me where is the unfathomable whole?

Dark stellar space with its glittering orb so bright,
Or in the unstoppable revolutions kissing day, caressing night?

Dead twigs of the old pine tree,
wilting leaves from stiff hoary frost?

Tell me Sire... Madam...
Or is this little ditty lost?
The same energy that emerges from the fountain of eternity into time, is the Holy Grail at the center of the universe of the inexhaustible vitality in each of our hearts. The Holy Grail, like the Kingdom of God, is within. -Joseph Campbell-

I love poetry, and this is wonderful- both in meaning and lyrically. 👏

. . . . and writing poetry is challenging.🤨
God is Love. God is Truth. The greatest problem with organized religion is that the organization becomes god, rather than a means of serving God.

I like it, but I don't really get it.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13

I'll take a shot at it:

The unfathomable whole is the underlying All that seems to play hide and seek with us when we perceive things as either spiritual or physical. There is really only One Thing that keeps flowing and returning to itself. Just as day and night are not two distinct things but different aspects of the same motion, constantly creating/destroying the other in an endless cycle, so are life and death merely two faces of one eternal flow.

Ditty lost or found? Or BOTH!

Roses are red, violets are blue,
So you want me to do poetry for you?
Ok, how is this as I start my lil patter,
I can share with you all a cute little matter.
Greek tragedy is relevant and tv is too,
because roses are red, and violets are blue.
