19th Century Sex Trafficking Allegation

Post by moksha » Sun Oct 02, 2022 8:16 am

Hey, has anyone heard about the alleged practice of sex trafficking women and girls from Western Europe (especially England) to Salt Lake City in the 19th Century? Apparently, they were fraudulently recruited into some multiple bride scheme. It is said they were virtually trapped by some group under false pretenses.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

The Church would do well to offer five-year missions that include awarding a BA degree in marketing or archeology from BYU upon completion, plus introductions to the young LDS brides of their choice. Also, admission into the Graduate CPA program if they wish to cook the books further.

Hey, funny as ever. Don't let Lemmie get you down or DocCam or anyone else. They get uppity/emotional at times. You need to just let it roll off and keep making the humorous comments. Don't leave discussmormonism. I love your humor!

It should be noted that Utah won the PAC-12 Championship tonight 47-24 against USC.

Lawyers at Kirton McConkie are preparing a lawsuit against Merriam-Webster for making "Gaslighting" its word of the year. The suit alleges that Merriam-Webster is interfering with religious freedom.
