Why is Satan a better communicator?

Post by Hagoth » Fri Oct 21, 2016 1:41 pm

I hear all the time in church about how clever and powerful Satan is and how effectively he's getting his message out. He's making it very clear what he wants everybody to do, whether it's looking at porn, voting for same-sex marriage, reading anti-mormon literature, using elicit drugs, what have you. He has a clear and undiluted message that is getting to everyone through TV and social media.

Meanwhile God's message has fragmented across thousands of religions who can't even remotely agree on the meanings of major concepts in the official handbook, and there have always been groups of his followers killing other groups of his followers because of those differences.

His self-purported one-true-church isn't getting their message across very effectively, even with 80,000 volunteer salespeople knocking on every door in the world. When God has something specific to say directly through his appointed mouthpieces, rather than appearing as a "thus saith the Lord" statement, it evolves clumsily from a pile of possible policy options assembled under the guidance of legal teams and PR firms, and only when it's weaknesses become obvious is it revealed to be the word of God, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence in God's communication skills. Meanwhile, people who are actually trying to get to actually see through the fog and sort things out can't get direct answers from the inspired leaders but instead get apologetic taffy pulling (see, it works both ways) from anonymous authors with plausible deniability insurance.

For one thing, this shows that Satan doesn't really have any stakes in things like presidential elections, because if he did everyone would know for certain who he wants to you to vote for. And it would be the only clear answer they would be getting.
“The easy confidence with which I know another man's religion is folly teaches me to suspect that my own is also.” -Mark Twain

Jesus: "The Kingdom of God is within you." The Buddha: "Be your own light."

Why is Stan a better communicator?

Because he is cool and listened to the feedback of his subordinates instead of sticking his head in the sand and telling everyone else to shut up and follow orders.
Reading can severely damage your ignorance.
