I noticed today that TDA has a meeting planned this Sunday that I might attend.

ETA: the info on the meetup is in the newsletter email they send when you join.
They are meeting weekly in at the New Yorker club now. I prefer the outdoors gatherings, but this is convenient for things that are harder to do outside in public places. And in winter. I'm looking for the outdoor equinox gathering in September on the south shore of the GSL.

I'm going to be involved in a new push to teach members to grow their own, which is something that a lot of people want to do. Not only is it the best option for legal safety (no one buying, selling, or dispersing), but it gives people a more direct personal integration into the whole cycle from beginning to end.

I will probably be there tomorrow. Look for me if you make it!

In the Honest Hearts expansion for Fallout 3, the setting was Zions Canyon in Utah. The Sacred Datura Root was part of the religious ceremony of these former Mormons. To add to the inexplicableness of former Mormons using the Sacred Datura Root, is that it was made into a tea. Everyone knows that Mormons would rather commit adultery than drink tea!
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

The weird part is that this statement is probably true. I have no numbers, but a would bet that the average bishop hears more confessions about adultery and porn use than tea.

I prefer mushrooms in tea form, so I guess that's a double red light? Mushrooms while committing adultery must be less objectionable, assuming they are eaten, not sipped in tea?

Hagoth, I think you're on the program for TDA Sunday. It's that correct? I can probably make it.

I did my big Shroomiversity PowerPoint last week. This week Chad will be talking about his growing process and I will do a show and tell of a couple of others. I believe we will be doing that after the main meeting. There will be a UofU professor speaking and someone else who I was warned will send my New Age woo woo red flags flapping in a stiff breeze (I tend to wander off and find someone to talk to).

You also might also consider showing up at the Equinox celebration on the south shore of the Great Salt Lake near Saltaire, Friday the 23rd, 5:00-11:00pm. They won't be serving the sacrament but there will be hotdogs and s'mores. You will meet some very nice, intelligent people and some "interesting" people.

So maybe I would get more out of the solstice celebration. Tomorrow's weather is supposed to be beautiful so the church of the big blue dome might be better. I don't have much use for new age woo woo.

I forgot I have a conflict, so won't be making the solstice celebration either.

Too bad. I was pleased that there was no woo woo at all*, just a very pleasant gathering with acoustic music, hot dog roasting, and lots of interesting conversation. It seems like I'm seeing less of the New Age elements lately, and they are sort of drifting off in their own direction. Mrs. Hagoth even came and seemed to have a pleasant enough time.

*unless you consider chimes and digeridoos woo woo (but there were guitars too).

The mushrooms did in fact finally find me. Trying to work on setting a date and being observant of set and setting and intention.

Glad to hear it. Please return and report. Are you working with someone or going solo?

I have a sitter and I have a therapist so I think that part of the setting is good.

Sounds like you are doing it the best possible way. Can't wait to hear your report!

I'm very interested in dipping my toes into the shroom pool. How does one legally obtain a very small sample in AZ?

Not sure how strict AZ is C, but I have obtained spores from a business there (mushrooms dot com). You'll have to grow your own or make a trip up to Denver if you have no contacts where you are. I've never been to the dispensaries in Denver or any fungus dispensary yet, but I'd like to.
