Humor Relief

Post by Newme » Sat Mar 04, 2017 10:02 am

I love to laugh to the point where I can hardly breath and tears are coming out of my eyes! So cleansing - such a good feeling!
And humor can help make painful things a bit easier to deal with.
So... let's share anything funny - preferably clean comedy as some of our kids may peek at what we're watching.

"Sunday best" can lead to the assumption that everyone's perfectly got it all together.
What if somehow, everyone was beamed into church as they looked conference Sundays.
I think there'd be less judging - more love. :D

Q - Why would Joseph Smith and Donald Trump have trouble being in the same room together?

A - They both cannot be King of the World at the same time.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

Thanks! The inconsistencies are funny - taking things literally when they're meant metaphorically & visa versa - selective consideration.
But I think members are just following their leaders in some ways, though in other ways, the leaders are like, "Do as I say, not as I do."

Good to see you, 1Smartdog... I remember you from the previous NOM - you were really nice & you seem to love nature too.
