Who Here Has Ink?

Post by Mad Jax » Sat Nov 11, 2017 11:41 pm

Just a cracker barrel question and a chance to share. I dig body art. So I'm willing to share if others are.

The Serenity pic isn't finished but will be soon.

Nice.

I've been trying to work up the guts to get inked for a couple years now. I have some ideas I of what I want but haven't gone through with it yet.

Mad Jax is someone who I would be deathly afraid of crossing paths with in a dark alley, yet afterwards we could discuss some philosophy and theology and it would be cool.

I don't know if you've gone into shops or anything but the artists will have a portfolio so you know how skilled they are. I know the fear of getting a muck tat but it sounds like you're patient and would choose wisely. Also, some artists are good at taking a pattern or image and putting it to skin but not so good at conceptualizing what you might want and creating the image themselves. And be willing to pay a fair price. You'll regret discount level tattoos almost certainly.

I'll prepare a series of topics for the dark alley meet up. ;)

I've never had any interest in the past, not just because of being a TBM. But lately DW has been bringing it up and really wants to have both of us get something. We just celebrated 13 yrs together, both from previous marriages. So since she wants to get something I'm thinking we'll make it happen pretty soon. We've been looking at designs, still can't find anything we like enough yet. I like astro photography, so maybe something in that area. I'll post it up here if and when it happens.

Do you know anyone with an LDS themed tattoo? I don’t have a tattoo, but there has to be some fool with a temple, angel Moroni, golden plates, etc.
I saw a documentary on Real Sports with Bryan Gumble or something like that on die hard fantasy football groups. The loser received a tattoo chosen by the winner. Ruthless. One loser got a pink unicorn on his thigh. Another guy got a big tattoo of Justin Bieber. I forget where it was placed.

That will do. That must be a good conversation piece tattoo.
Is that a tattoo of your wife when she was a little girl?
No, that’s Helen Mar Kimball, Joseph Smith’s bride who was a few months older than 13 years when JS took her virginity and lead her to the celestial kingdom...
