Still, I do not believe the film will have great box office success until they have a triumphant video.

I am truly looking forward to this movie. It has a lot of possibility since the actors have visibly aged in the past 30 years. An honest reflection on maturity and Rock and Roll could still have plenty of comedy for them.

Fingers crossed! And might I add, party on!

I was expecting ET Returns!

When is Spielberg going to make that one?

Drew Barrymore would sign on.

Saw the title and thought this would be an announcement of The Silmarillion, as another in a series of films based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.

But that would be a prequel.

I hope this turns out to be a fun movie marathon with my sons. They have liked most of the old movies I’ve shown them.... but they hated The Last Starfighter (booooooo).

While I agree that with the right attention the Silmarillion would make a most bodacious film series, it will never reach its true excellence if the Leys are not performed with Eddie Van Halen on guitar.

What about leis worn by Don Ho on the ukulele? ;)

That would be a most non-triumphant soundtrack.

I thought it was going to be a sequel to Top Gun, or perhaps a third Smokey and the Bandit. Burt Reynolds has passed away, but they Sally Fields is still around. Imagine them flying down the highway at 45 mph sipping Ensure and slipping their dentures out of their mouths.

How is that possible???

If you really want to yank their chains, tell them you just remembered one of your favorite old movies, and show them Mac and Me. Your relationship will never be the same.

Oh, they haven’t see this but I remember this movie, well parts of it! I didn’t remember him being handicapped. They are in full teen mode so I am sure to be roasted. I just told the almost 18 y/o to check out Reservoir Dogs. I can’t stomach a rewatch but I think he may like it. He didn’t like Pulp Fiction too much. I need to fit in Stand by Me.... but again, moody teenagers.

Reservoir Dogs is fantastic IMO, I can't believe you think it's unwatchable. So many solid performances and a great premise for a film.

It’s the violence. I can’t stomach it right now, but I think he will be able to appreciate it.
