Thank you for the corrections. It seems that I was duped on the presidential freedom medal of freedom awards.
As for Gavin Newsoms, the higher truth doesn't really change my point, but I acknowledge the correction. These weren't exactly a matter of profound research but memes that flash across my Facebook. Thanks.

Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

It was more than likely something my mother posted but okay. I will have to inform her that she is fake news. Probably won't go well but....
