And put the onus back on the members who's data was stolen, a familiar pattern.

"We have no indication that any of your personal data has been misused or published," according to the church release. "We recommend that you remain vigilant about the security of your personal data by monitoring your personal accounts, frequently changing passwords, selecting strong and different passwords for every account and taking action on any suspicious activity. You should promptly report to law enforcement authorities any fraudulent activity, scam or identity theft."

Most reputable corporations would offer those affected a service to at least monitor their credit activity for a year. But it seems TSCC prefers to just deal with the fallout as it happens and keep paying out the individual "settlements" as they come.

7. Did you report this to a data regulator or data protection authority?

We have notified relevant data protection authorities
Glad to know they report data breaches but not sexual abuse!

Their effort goes into protecting what they value the most. This just shows what LDSinc really worships is the all-mightily dollar.

They do believe in a profit.

That would be an interesting breach, someone hacks TSCC db and reveals the top brass new names to the world. I'd love to see the fall out from that one.
