It is worth nothing that the "anti-fascist" messages engraved on un-fired bullet casings has been found to be a hoax. The WSJ jumped the gun and then later retracted it.

Good point. Isn't it fascinating though that people felt insulted by the idea of anti-facist messages? Also, the "transgender ideology" engraved on the casings was actually a threat to gay people.

I can only imagine the incredible cognitive dissonance and internal turmoil when an alt-right Mormon man-child can't escape the reality that he is is falling in love with a trans person. What would be interesting would be if it turns out he had been rejected by a trans person. That would be ultimately humiliating to someone like that. I wonder if we'll ever know. I graduated from Utah State and I can tell you it is NOT a bastion of liberal ideals. It's a Mormon-dominated Utah agricultural college, for crying out loud. I came away from there more religiously indoctrinated and conservative than at any other time in my life.

You touched on this but my best guess is that they were raised in a society where being gay was universally condemned, those societal values got set as a part of their core beliefs during childhood, they hit puberty and start having gay feelings (as an example), then they started being very vocally against being gay as both a means of remaining safe within society and as a form of preaching to themselves more than anyone external to them.

They become more and more forceful in their condemnations because they're really fighting an aspect of their own nature that they may not like and because their nature isn't changing. They keep turning up the rhetoric in a vain effort to correct something they view as a flaw within themselves.

I dunno, I'm no psychologist. Didn't even stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Oh, and it turns out that his one semester was online. I would love to see what classes he took that turned him into a foaming-at-the-mouth leftist assassin.

I think he was just a twisted, whiney little b*tch who grew up in a society that taught him to respond to conflict with violence. Look at all of the pictures of his childhood with him and his parents waving around guns. It would be interesting to hear what Sunday dinner conversations were like in that family before we get to eager to blame freshman algebra or trans people or Joe Biden for his actions.

And it turns out, he was not in a relationship with a trans roommate. The roommate is not trans, only kind of a pretty guy, and they were not in any kind of relationship. He was not believed to be in any romantic relationship. All made up bunk by the MAGA liars. They can make up imaginary crap faster than investigators can disprove it. So, of their claims, the shooter is not at all a leftist, but raised in a nice Republican Mormon family, and far from being radicalized, he was not even very interested in politics, according to his online activity and people who knew him. He appears to just be a normal insecure kid.

So, I suppose we all need to be more careful to find out where our information comes from because I got mine from supposedly reputable news sources, but apparently the “reputable” news sources got their information from right wing made up garbage. And it seems that some people lied to make the shooter look like he could be a leftist nut case.

I am starting to feel like I am living under a dictator because the disinformation is so common and it gets hard to sort out what is real. Even some sources I have trusted are starting to parrot propaganda.

I need a good “how stupid can Trump supporters be” gripe session. And it needs to be where the guilty party can’t read it and realize that if I could never see her again, I would go for it. But then she would just deny that it could be her I am talking about because denial is her first name. I have heard it said that tRump supporters are “low information” voters. I kind of knew what they were talking about, but didn’t really comprehend how badly misinformed they really are. So, I thought the Covid stuff with her being stupid enough to believe the anti vaxers might have taught her to check her sources. Big big trip, money spent and everything and she had to cancel because no proof of vaccine and then tested positive. But no, over the last 5 years she has been sick three times now badly enough she had to be hospitalized, and actually BRAGGED about it almost killing her. But still minimizes how serious COVID can be, and still won’t get vaccinated. Still brags about refusing to wear face masks and is currently saying how measles is nothing to worry about and “nobody dies from that.”

Back a few years she said how she would never vote for him if he got convicted of anything. She has also in the past said that National Guard should never be used for things like riot control as they were against the Jan 6 “protestors.”

So, she recently said something about all politicians are crooks. I mentioned how Trump is the only one ever convicted of any crime. She argued with me that he has been charged but never convicted. I tried to correct her and she just refuses to even consider it. She also refuses to even know that tRump has sent National Guard into California or anywhere else. She just refuses to believe anything that might change her mind. She doesn’t pay any attention to actual news, because “it is just depressing”. I wanted to shake some sense into her idiotic head.

Raised that way and I suppose she still believes all Joseph’s lies. But swore off word of wisdom and attending because she got offended when someone pretended to like her, but was just doing her calling to get her through the temple….correction, knowing the church it was to get a perspective ELDER through the temple. It is the cult mentality that just boggles my mind. Perfectly nice, intelligent, kind, normal people, and yet they have this huge tolerance for total evil from their leader. They will not look at 13 believable accusations of rape, numerous accounts of fraud, obvious conspiring with Russia, trying to blackmail Ukraine, promoting an insurrection, bullying people, lying, lying, lying, lying, his good buddy the sex trafficker, convictions on 34 counts, a legal judgement of sexual assault, on and on and on and they tell themselves that this walking scandal is no worse than any other politician. Yet they can’t name one scandal from Obama, but he was still the most corrupt politician ever. It really is Trump derangement syndrome. His followers are totally delusional. So delusional they need to be locked up as totally out of touch with reality. Insane.
