They don't even teach tithing properly. Scripturally it talks about increase. If my net worth at the beginning of the year is 100K and I earn 50K this year but my net worth at the end of the year is 105K then my INCREASE was 5,000 and I owe $500 in tithing. That is what the scripture actually says. A retire who is spending down their retirement savings actually has LESS money at the end of the year than the beginning and owes NOTHING.

But of course, that would mean the church don't get their $$$$ so of course it is about income, even though that isn't what he said.
