TSCC - The so-called church

Q15 - Quorum of 12 Apostles AND the First Presidency

These don't need to be added to the list, but I use variants such as BP1C for Bishopric 1st Counselor or SP2C for Stake Presidency 2nd Counselor.
Also, I use something like SIL2, SIL3, to differentiate between multiple Sisters-In-Law (We're mormon, we have big families)

Thanks Korihor, I'll make that addition. I combined three different lists I found online to make the above list, so any corrections or additional suggestions are helpful :)

Maybe NOM 2.0 is a brave new world, but on NOM the original I got moderated for using "TSCC".
The church has engineered your eternal family into a commodity that can be purchased with an annual fee. The fact that full tithing payment is a requirement for saving ordinances is the biggest red flag imaginable. Hagoth

My understanding of tl;dr is that it stands for "too long; didn't read" which is rude, but might be an easier way to remember what it is people are saying. L
Even if it's something disappointing, it's still better to know the truth. Because people can deal with disappointment. And once they've done that, they can feel that they have really grown. And that can be such a good feeling. -Fred Rogers

Yeah I would consider TSCC as pejorative and not the way we want to go on NOM.

I've never thought of it as rude (but I see your point if it's used as an insult). I think I've mostly seen it used by the person writing a long post and doing a "cutting to the chase" or "condensed to a couple sentences" version for those who don't want to or don't have time to read the entire post. :)

Right, generally people are writing it about their own posts so I don't think it's rude in the context I just felt rude being the one pointing out the specific meaning. I hope that didn't get confused as me saying it wasn't okay or something. I was just excusing myself for being rude if I sounded rude, but I thought a literal break down of the letters tldr would be easier.

I agree. If you feel the need to use an acronym maybe stick to TCoJCoLDS. Or just say the church. Or the trademark that is owned by the Corporation of the President. ;)

I just meant to point out that tl;dr does mean too long; didn't read, but it's used in front of a short synopsis usually whether written by the OP or as a funny/snarky comment by someone else.

People don't use it as a stand-alone abbreviation normally.

So, do you think I should just put "Too Long Didn't Read" and leave it that?

Actually, "didn't" was on one of the lists I used, and "don't" on another list...so I just put them both... :D
