Life without Ketchup?

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Life without Ketchup?

Post by Red Ryder » Thu Dec 16, 2021 2:15 pm

Comparably speaking, would life without the Mormon church be the same as life without ketchup?

🍟 Fry sauce would be 100% mayo. Nasty!
🍔 Burgers would be… bland?
Hash browns? Fah getta bout it!
Corn flakes… would still be corn flakes. Get help if you put ketchup on those every morning!
Waffles? Nope

Philosophies of man mingled without ketchup!

I’d give up ketchup in exchange for Mormonism to disappear from my life.

Mustard you ask? Come, come ye saints…

Yeah, mustard is very important. Fry sauce is very important. Ketchup by itself comes in handy, but, for me it comes back to fry sauce.
Worcestershire sauce is also very important.
The Church influences my relationships, but other than that, it doesn't do much for me.
God is Love. God is Truth. The greatest problem with organized religion is that the organization becomes god, rather than a means of serving God.

Gotta step out of the box. You could get hung up worrying about losing this:

When you could have this:

The culture of Utah is cast upon the lake of fry sauce. Ketchup is indispensable (unless you bought the store brand which seems a bit runnier and is thus easier to pour). Use wasabi sparingly lest ye seek enlightenment!
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

I'm not sure which kind of Faustian bargain you made with giving up random condiments in exchange for Sundays off and underpants from Target. However, does this new philosophy allow Green Ketchup?

I don’t think you guys are getting enough catchup. Catchup contains natural mellowing agents according to the Catchup Advisory Board….

So are we talking about Catchup, Catsup, or Ketchup? Ketchup is what you get inside the Morcor, Catchup is for those in the "mission field," and Catsup, well, we don't talk about those Catsup people.
