She's giving a nice Christ centered talk. +5
Well, until it turned into “covenant path” bla bla bla.
But still a good talk so I am not going to ding her on covenant path stuff, so she still gets plus 5.

I just want to remind him that the revealed name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. However, this name is owned by the Strangites, if I understand correctly.

Heavy focus on a dumb hill to die on regarding the "proper name of the church". Also, little helpful/useful/uplifting information.

When you have to explain that you really mean “Mormon” it kind of kills the whole idea that they are going to be SOOOO impressed by the idea of Church of Jesus Christ. -10

20/20 spiritual vision with Tim Ballard.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

I do like hearing people share stories of enduring real trials. Listening to this talk reminds me of someone who compared two books by C.S. Lewis: The Problem of Pain and A Grief Observed. The Problem of Pain feels so shallow when compared to the real suffering documented in A Grief Observed. I felt like this talk if more of The Problem of Pain. It dismisses pain as merely a temporary state ignoring the reality of pain as it is felt.

I like the idea of welcoming, but home is not always to the Mormon church. Because the church and God are not synonymous.
