It looks like we might see 2 or 3 new apostles at the next conference. RFM asked why Eyring didn't name his son's name as being released as an area authority. I wonder if it is because it is awkward to see his son considered too old for church service.

That should have been minus 300 points. Obviously I typed while still thinking WTF.

But so many temple have been announced in places there are very few members. And they are going to be very expensive, then sit empty. While I get frustrated with stories like the lady from Okinawa, it is also frustrating to spend millions on a building that gets used once a week for two hours.

I wish the church would buy a ship, convert it to a temple and go places like Okinawa. And for inland places they can just convert a big cargo plane into a temple. Or two cargo planes.

Overall it was sad for those of us who have REAL faith in Christ. This was so disingenuous & manipulative . It's a wonder Christ did strike them all with a lightning bolt. Yes church revenue must be down with all the talk about tithing , good grief!!

Yes, exactly what they feared would happen when members found out they were hoarding billions, tithing took a nose dive. So, let us all press on talking about the few hundred billions the church just sits on, then thinks the interest is no longer tithing. They *really* don’t need our money. So, tell your friends the church has way more money than they know what to do with, so they build malls with the interest and build many unneeded temples that sit empty with the new money coming in, then tell people who are begging for drinking water that “we are not a wealthy church.”

Well said Alas !! I always love your insight. The new name for the church should be : The church of latter day liars!!
