I guess that both Mormons and Evangelicals will support the Project 2025 plan to destroy America...
And then, once the "you will never have to vote again" promise is fulfilled, Evangelicals will loose their inquisition on Mormons and other heretics. "Aw, c'mon guys, I thought we were BFFs!"

In the election polling by each state, Utah is giving Trump the greatest lead (and the least for Harris). Perhaps that is because their values are similar (and Harris is not pure and delightsome).

Fascinating. Can you share a source?

I remember that I had Googled presidential polling by state. I looked at the first one that came up. It might have been by CNN.

I think the red color indicates either a desire to switch to authoritarian fascism or allegiance to Satan (or perhaps both).
I suspect Utah will be writing Project 2025 into its State Constitution.

“I have words. And they’re very good words. The best words. They’re English words. Yes, we need words. You know we have to have them. If you don’t have words you don’t have a country. And the Venezuelan gangs are stealing our words. Everyone sees it. We have to stop it. I’ll tax foreign words so you won’t hear them anymore. You know we have to do it. Then we’ll have the best words again.”

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump threatened to prosecute his political enemies “to the fullest extent of the law” should he win the 2024 presidential election and signaled once again that he would not accept defeat come November.

My recent insights regarding Trump:
I am always perplexed that the not-batsh!t-crazy Republicans let Donald run wild with such face-planting, jawdropping lies and manipulations. You know people like Graham, Rubio, and Cruz secretly hate his guts, even as they’re kissing his a$$. The obvious surface reason is that it’s because they need the Ideocracy vote, and he will tell the lies they need told, and debase himself to a degree that they can’t get away with. But that’s ok as long as it gets them as long as it keeps enough voters angry/frightened/misinformed.
Because here’s the thing: if Trump gets back in the Whitehouse, they can let him run amok and do as much damage as they have stomach for, and then discard him at the drop of a hat the moment his destruction no longer pleases them and starts eating his own. All they need to do is flip a couple of votes to align with the Democrats, who will be constantly chomping at the bit to eject him, and he will be gone. Just a tiny nudge.
But then what do you have? The most powerful man in the world would be that cold-hearted muf**kuh J. D. Vance, a Christian Nationalist and Project 2025er. A man made in the mold of Mike Johnson and his ilk.

After Project 2025 dismantles the United States, what will Republican politicians have? Will the LDS belief that Trump is the "One mighty and strong" be sustained?
Trump's dementia and fascist tendencies seem to increase daily.
BTW, I think the Saints will respond to Trump's call to use the military to curtail opposition as being a matter of moral agency and a call to stay on the covenant path lest they be culled from the herd.

History has clearly shown that a Christian theocracy would be the absolute worst thing for most people who consider themselves Christians. Every time an elite class of Christians has political power they start drawing lines about who is and who isn't a proper Christian. Those who THINK they are Christians, but with small differences, get treated the worst. They are labeled heretics, which is worse than pagans or heathens.
I suspect Mormons would be shocked at how quickly they become the enemy, once they have served their purpose as voters. What would LDS leaders do in such a regime? Would they stand up to their oppressors and "suffer their life to be taken" like Abinidi, faithful that God would sustain them, or would they cower and submit?

Arguing with a Mormon about voting for Trump in 2024 is like suggesting to a Mormon in 1998 that they shouldn't have voted for Richard Nixon. They will tell you they could not help themselves because he was the Republican candidate. To make matters worse with Trump, they also believe he is the "one who is mighty and strong". It is a religious thing with them, as well as, an obvious lack of discernment.

My eyes rolled when I read that Deseret News editorial.
Especially bothersome is not letting this Nephite horse appear with the Grand Marshal in the Pioneer Day Parade for the last 80 years!!!
Time for the Deseret News to embrace the Nephite horse. They can learn to
endorse both Trump and the Nephite horse.

I'm hearing more and more talk about how the voting machines are going to flip Trump votes to Harris. A lot of Trump voters seem to believe this myth, despite the complete lack of any evidence (why should I be surprised?) So here's my question. Why would any bot of them even consider voting if they are certain their vote for Trump will really be another vote for Harris. If they really believe this, abstaining from voting would be the best option.
If Trump does win, the voting machine conspiracy will suddenly vanish without another word. But if Harris wins it's likely to be the ugliest chapter in American history of our lifetimes.
It probably doesn't matter. Trump has said he doesn't need votes and that he will win regardless. And he'll fix it so we never have to vote again. Hooray.

I just visited my very old, uber lds father. He has a Trump sign in his window. I asked him how someone living the "standards" of the church can support someone so morally corrupt? He does not like Trump and wishes he wouldn't say the things he does, but the reason he's voting for the republican is because the democrats are moving us into communism. I asked about things Trump specifically has said or plans to do. He hadn't heard any of them. He watches FOX news and still thinks Tucker is good, regardless of being fired. No point in arguing.

Trump has begun the first of his multiple attacks on America by suing CBS News for 10 Billion dollars over the 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris. Previously he said he would revoke the CBS broadcast license. Trump first began by judge shopping in Texas.
