Just finished reading all the updates. It took me 18 minutes which, by my calculation, saved me more than 312 minutes of actually listening to that drivel AND didn’t raise my blood pressure.

So +1000 to all of you that summarized for me.

Mopag- great discussion as always and thank you for running these Nomference sessions.
It sounds like having a raspberry lemonade makes it easier to tolerate conference sessions.

When Stephenson started up about saying the long-form name of the church and gushing over the logo and other superficial things, I thought here we go...

I'll just say that I find it odd that he admitted that the one true church has really sucked at celebrating this whole Easter thing for 193 years, but hey, we've really started to pick up our game during the last two years.

Wright: Over the last several years the women have given the better talks in conference. I liked her framing of Jesus as an archetype, which I translated in my brain to say, "Yeah, Jesus is a story, but it's a useful story to build upon." Of course those are my words, nowhere near hers. Jesus is still literal for her, but that's okay.

Kudos to her for mentioning the sermon on the mount. Church is too busy talking up Christ's church and seldom talks of Christ's teachings.

Raspberry: Talked about mercy. I've hit that hard to focus because it's too much blah-blah, so I don't really know what he said. I'm all for hearing more mercy in church, which has traditionally almost been a swear word in Mormondom.
I'm enjoying this thread because I'm learning more about what the talks were than I did on another forum that also has a yearly thread for both conferences.
