The messages given are so mixed. On the one hand, they support LGBT rights, but then they don't want pictures with their gay children. They give something for every possible position.

It is confusing. They could end the confusion by coming up with a clear position, but I think that would mean making one segment of the church or another angry. They're trying to thread the needle. Sounding like they have staked a bold position, but really leaving it all unsaid.
