I don't know what happened, but it's like Fbook just forgot all my filter settings. I had it locked down pretty good and not a lot of mormon stuff was showing up in my feed. For some unknown reason, I have been flooded with it the past few days. I really need some new friends on FBook, too many TBM's.

Anyway, besides all the nonsense that keeps popping up, I saw one that made me so sad, because I couldn't conform to this myself half the time.
It was a wood plank with vinyl words in vairous fonts/sizes. "Raise your hands and touch your toes If anything shows...go change your clothes"

My 2 year-old daughter couldn't meet this standard.

sad

Yeah, that one's making the rounds. Because covering your body is what's important, not what you think or what you do. I shut them down as they show up, but there are way too many Mormon pages out there.

This type of stuff causes so many issues! Because of these attitudes many have been conditioned with a "better than" culture. Even my three year old has picked up on this and started asking why people wear certain styles. This is not how you teach someone to love everyone! This is not how you teach your children that they are of worth! If we are still attending by the time my daughter is going to camp etc., I plan to be the mom who sends her daughter with a tankini. If nothing else, that sign that's been plastered all over facebook can be a motivation to be a better parent who can teach their children to learn about what is in a person's soul before they jump to erroneous conclusions based solely on the amount of skin the person shows.

I started liking some random pages (like secular buddhism or Bill Nye) that fit my interests so I have better stuff showing in my feed.
