NOM

No matter where you are on the belief of this day or how you choose to celebrate, it is my wish you find a place of peace on this Christmas day. Take time to reflect and understand what meaning you find. I think I can safely say there are many here on NOM who care and are here to share your thoughts, struggles and joys. 2012 was the first Christmas I spent as a non believer. Continuing on with the traditions of the Christian holiday proved to be most difficult as a secret non believer. Over the years I have gone through several stages of trying to make sense of the day ... a day I'm not to sure I can celebrate. I've come to realize that for me finding a place where I could be comfortable with all the memories and traditions that surround the holidays was key in order to mentally survive. So I have carved out beautiful new traditions and made peace with my choices. I found new meaning for the sights, sounds and traditions of Christmas and I hope you have too. So whether you are in a room packed with TBM's, alone or stranded in an airport on this day please find peace in knowing you are not alone no matter where you go or where you are on the belief spectrum. NOM will always be here and we understand. Be kind to yourself. Cyber hugs to all!

This is the most painful Christmas I've ever had. I'm missing my little boy so much. All I want to do is cry, But I'm trying to keep it together for dd. I don't know what I'd do without NOM. You guys are the best!
