I've come not to teach, but to awaken!

I'm watching Wild Wild Country on netflix.

I want to join a cult. It looks exciting, fun, and extremely entertaining. Mormonism is too boring.

Anyone have any good recommendations?

What sort of experience do you want? I mean, you could stay close to home and join the FLDS. Or, you could go UFO's and sex and join Raelianism. Doomsday cults are alive and well. You could join Aum Shinrikyo. You could also check out larger groups like Jehovah's Witnesses. If all else fails, you can always sign up with the Scientologists. I don't know if there are age limits on the Sea Org, but that could give some experience.

I enjoy the podcast "Oh No Ross and Carrie." They regularly check out cult meetings. You might get some ideas there. (They also joined the Mormon church in an early episode. They tried out Moroni's promise on the air. I was fascinated.)

I'd go for the UFOs and sex robots.

My husband and I have watched a lot of cult documentaries recently - Scientology, Waco, Jonestown, FLDS, Warren Jeffs, Jonestown, and the last one we watched was the Rajneesh. I turned toward my husband during one part and said, "I think I want to join this one. It's the fun cult." He just laughed.

We were approached by Moonies on our last vacation. Husband told them no thank you.

We were also watching some movie where a woman who commits a revenge type crime and needs to hide out. My suggestion: join the FLDS. They'll issue you disguise of crazy hair and prairie dress, and after you marry a man with a dozen wives, they'll hide you in a compound - perfect! Except, it doesn't look like much fun at all. Unless of course, you get to be the man in charge...

It would be sort of fun when they beam you up, but just wait till you hear that mechanical voice say, "Bend over and assume the position".

How 'bout joining the offshoot of the Moonies in Pennsylvania ? On Wednesday, they wore crowns made of bullets and brought their AR-15 assault rifles to be blessed, while wearing their robes. The consider that their military-grade weapons are listed in the Bible as the "iron rod", so Scripture mandates that they carry these weapons. See link below - check out the photos. ( Wow. And we thought there were some crazies at F & T meeting. :D )
