I've neither watched nor heard any of conference and there is nothing I miss about the conference experience at all.

This is because while they will criticize you for saying so, they know deep down that it is all bullshit themselves.

I think it would be fun if he said something like,
"The choir is going to jazz us up up with this rendition of 'Rejoice the Lord is King.' They will be directed by that guru of music and jive Max "Willie" Willberg. Brother Mackland and Tomas will be pounding out the tunes on our righteously large organ! After that Sister James will petition heaven on our behalf. Hold on your hats folks...we're off!"
Something that simple would I bet wake up at least some of the audience.

Mine took off to go to the store. So far, he has actually watched maybe two talks in all of conference.
Oaks, so glad I am not watching.

"So far, he is literally just quoting Jesus...." Without commentary, so it is good so far!

I'm actually sort of listening to this session. Oaks gave both the laziest and best talk he has ever given.
