Christian and LDS hypocrisy

Since the founding of the United States of America it has been clear that the political system breeds abuse of power and hypocrisy on both sides of the political spectrum.
Just as a trial requires a balanced prosecution and defense, our political system requires a balance of power to protect our freedom, and truth itself.
It should be as obvious that religion breeds hypocrisy. Without criticism, religion is susceptible to stomp on the rights of the minority and the marginalized.
I believe if we as critics promote openness and honesty- with kindness, we are a needed balance to organized religion's innate human desire for power.
Combining political and religious power makes possible a fearsome corruption of both.
The rise and imminent fall of Trumpism has to be the biggest indicator of this since the the period of slavery.
I don't believe a trump supporter can point fingers at figures such as Stalin or Mao if they honestly face what this country could become if there is no resistance to trump/maga.
