Question for our Idaho NOMmies.

Someone I know just got their kid's mission call to Idaho, Pochatello, Swahili speaking. Is that a real mission? Is there enough of a population for Swahili in the spud state to actually justify such a mission, or are they pulling a fast one on us?

I'm not from the Potato State, but Lord Google says there is a decent sized Swahili-speaking population in Idaho. Large enough for LD$-Inc. to open a Swahili-speaking Franchise:

Wow, that's interesting! From the Idaho Statesman, Feb. 13, 2026:
"Sunday marked a milestone for Treasure Valley members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: the announcement of the first Swahili-language ward in the U.S. There are other Swahili-speaking LDS congregations around the country, but Boise’s is the first to be deemed a ward, or a geographically defined congregation of at least 125 members."

Is the Swahili ward going to be moved to a prison camp? That would be an interesting mission.
