You would think that individuals who claim to be inspired and lead a multi-billion dollar corporation should be able to do math.

If you have 1 million people that want to attend the temple this year and 10 temples then there will be approximately 100,000 visits per temple.

If you have 1 million people that want to attend the temple and 200 temples then you will get 5000 visits to each temple per year.

It's not rocket science. Keep building temples and you will less and less attendance at each one.

Yeah, it does seem like a no-brainer. Double the number of temples and the attendance at each (all other things being equal) will decrease by half.

He just told a story about his grandparents trying too hard to travel to hear an apostle speak that one of their kids ended up dying from exposure. This is so dark and f-cked up....

Thank you MoPag - and the others who tell us what was said. I forgot it was GenConf until today - and it took me until noon to get on here to read the Nom Conference threads. I appreciate the comments, especially if something unusual was said (I know it's rare, but it's possible) - or something different like when Monson fell down suddenly (or was it him and someone else?). Anyway, I appreciate these threads.
