Re: Opening Up Church Again

After the way the tourists have been acting in southern Utah, crowding places with no social distancing until they have to be closed because the spot can’t even hold that many, let alone provide space for social distancing, with nobody in masks, and damaging the rock formations, graffiti on rocks, ...

Re: Opening Up Church Again

Note the opening interracial family picture. I've noticed how much the church has been pushing diversity in it's media the past several years; I guess they think that makes up for all the past and present bigotry. Or maybe that's just a "minister" following a single mom out to her car. Also, the pic...

Re: Church wants more Christ-centered artwork in buildings

Graven Images But don't bother making the Jesus pics historically/biologically accurate, be sure to keep them all white European oriented. If the second coming is just around the corner, does that mean that Jebus loved the dinosaurs more than us accountable hominids? I mean, they will have lived muc...

Re: UT.gov: Back to Church RMN: Not Yet

I think the lawyers are really making these decisions. It's a big liability if Russ tells everyone to go back to church then some new cases get traced back to the gathers/buildings. This does pose a potentially difficult road ahead for the corporation.

Re: Horrifying Initiatory Story on Reddit

I was basically in some form of shock, but I'm pretty sure the dude touched my balls with his little spoon of oil or water. The day I went through for my own endowments was one of the most Fd up days of my life. I'd say the amount of cogdis I experienced that day was equivalent to the amount I exper...

UT.gov: Back to Church RMN: Not Yet

https://www.ksl.com/article/46750136/churches-can-open-under-new-utah-guidelines-but-must-still-observe-social-distancing I was thinking that it would be really difficult for TBMs to go back to their buildings and manage to follow the distancing guidelines, guess RMN and the old guys agree: In a vid...

Re: Intellectually malleability, you know, for church standing

Kolob and Archaeo-astronomy ... Abraham actually understood both, and when he went to the Egyptians to preach, he did not preach specifically a geocentric cosmology as some LDS Apologists would have us believe. Rather, he was showing them how the symbolism in the geocentric cosmologies actually rep...

Re: Mormon things that just pop into your head

For me it's always lines out of the old temple films, especially Micheal Ballam. Well, we shall see! They shall be...in my power! We will go down. It is delicious to the taste and very desirable! One day I'd kind of pissed off DW. I went to get something out of the garage and when I went to go back ...

Re: Quest for the Nephite Remnant

The movie Journey to the Center of the Earth was about retracing the steps of Nephite Arne Saknussemm in Iceland. I loved that movie when I was a kid! Seems like it's a better fit for the Lost Ten Tribes. One of the theories was that they went into the big hole at the top of the hollow earth. Wait,...

Re: Unwritten Articles of Faith

We believe that the anemic offerings in seminary and institute are a spiritual feast that we are ashamed to be bored with and ungrateful for. We believe that suffering through them will make our magic 8-balls of spiritual feelings work better because God rewards personal sacrifice, whether of food,...

Re: Culture of Fake Friends

If there is one thing that I loathe about mormonism, it's the culture of fake friendships. Is there such a thing in the church as a genuine friendship? There's one thing I hate worse than this, it's snotty anti-christ YW who are just outright mean and bullying to other girls. Nearly all of our five...

Malcom bro! So hard, so painful so Fd up! We also watched Waco last week. It was so relatable! Lots of the same emotions you had. We are also watching The Handmaid's Tale for the third time. So many parts of that are way too similar to mormonism. It's a tribalistic cultist formula that works way to...

Re: What will church look like...after Covid-19

My bishop dearly misses the opportunity to worship together, according to his occasional emails. I get these emails too. Missing being together... I don't buy it. It must be nice not to have to do all the meetings, being away from family, etc. I can imagine an email, at least from many, that states...
