Imagine if a hamster had to pay to run in the wheel and all he got for it was shame for not running fast enough to please the Sky Hamster.
But it's all worth it! The more time and effort he spends running in the wheel, the greater reward he can look forward to... AFTER he dies.

And he's dense enough to not have the slightest idea why they are stampeding to the exit?

I wish I could hold up a mirror to people like this and let them see what massive buffoons they really are.

The best thing about these videos is how riveted and inspired the kids behind him appear to be.

Re: Priesthood is just...

As Crazyhampster can tell you, the only power religions have os hampster power, derived from people running in a hampster wheel. At least a hamster running on a wheel gets a bit of exercise in the process. The LDS-Inc. Hamster Wheel™ provides absolutely nothing of actual benefit to the being on the...

Re: Holotropic Breathwork

Just a little follow-up. I guess my BP monitor isn't broken. Every day for the past week I have been seeing a drop in systolic blood pressure of 15-20 points after 10-15 min of holotropic-style breathwork followed by 5-10 min of resonant breathing. For the first time in my life it's going below 120...

Re: Cannabis. What is my problem?

I have also yet to find my groove with cannabis. I have had a wonderful time, however, watching RubinHighlander open up vast new dimensions of his reality over the past few years, and it has inspired me. His weed+spa experience even convinced me to get a hot tub. When RH talks about 30mg of edibles ...

Re: “By their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matt. 7:20) - Seven years of sex abuse: How Mormon officials let it happen

I heard an interview with a lawyer who specializes in clerical sexual abuse. He had represented over 100 victims of the the Catholic church (IIRC) and many of the LDS church. He said he didn't know how long he could continue working with Mormon victims because the LDS lawyers are the coldest, least ...

I have no specific advice. I just want to comment that there is an obvious worthiness problem here. This church is not worthy of you.

Re: Priesthood & Motherhood

Motherhood is also very fragile and just as out of the woman’s control as the priesthood supposedly is. 20-30% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, often before the woman even knows she is pregnant. And if you as a pregnant woman take the wrong medication, drinks too much alcohol, has too much of any...

Priesthood & Motherhood

When I was growing up in the church, from the time I was 12 years old, I was told that I possessed the greatest power in the universe: The Priesthood! This was the power by which the universe was created, by which I would someday create entire worlds and galaxies, by which I could heal the sick and ...

Re: Convinced the Q15 know the truth

And there's a not-on-my-watch as$$-coverimg mentality. Nobody wants to be the guy who disappoints his adoring, highly privileged family, not to mention millions of worshipful admirers and a legacy of worshipful remberance by being the guy to burst any bubbles. Just throw another log on the fire and ...

Re: Holotropic Breathwork

There's a fascinating book called Breath , by James Nestor that talks about the modern rediscovery and reintroduction of breathing techniques that date back as far as 5000 years, and the importance of breathing correctly. It's really worth reading. It talks about the high-energy type of breathwork t...

Re: Feel Injured->Desire Vengeance->Soothe

I don't feel like my TBMs side with me over the church...It makes me feel anxious around them. That constant church-related anxiety makes moving on difficult. There are very few people inside my real boundary. Some of my favorite people aren't safe to have there, and it's hard to find new favorite ...

Re: Feel Injured->Desire Vengeance->Soothe

I agree with Angel. The best vengeance is to let them see that your life goes on and you can be even happier and more fulfilled - and even more spiritual - without the church, when you learn to do, think, and feel the things that define you, not them. And it's ok to be pissed too. When we free ourse...

Re: Losing our Eternal Families

What does an eternal family even look like? A man and one or more women, sure. But you aren't gonna be living in a house with your kids - and their kids, and their kids' kids, and on and on ad infinitum. People picture it as being with with spouse(s) and kids, but the kids will have families of the...

Re: Losing our Eternal Families

Sorry for the detour, but I can't even think of Section 19 in any serious doctrinal sense. For me it is among the phoniest of all phony, manipulative D&C revelations, right up there with God threatening to destroy Emma for not being happy about Joseph's sexual misbehavior and God telling the saints ...

Here's a map that gets exactly as much endorsement by LDS leadership as any proposed Book of Mormon geography:
