So any ideas, who is the most powerful Mormon? Would we even recognize his name? I'm using masculine pronouns because I think it's most likely a male.
Nah your using masculine pronouns because in every language in the world the masculine pronouns are gender nuetral. You may argue these anachronism are odd in english but they are not gone. We say mankind not humankind. Maybe the childless lesbian feminist bull dikes may one day erase the last vestiges of difference between men and women rendering us all unisex androgenous freaks but until then why are you apologizing for properly using language the way every other country in the world not controlled by psychotic cultural dictators does?
Who is the most powerful mormon?
Theyre not mormon at all. They are the people who tell you that he is not proper syntax when using gender neutral terminology, and then write books with she/her as the gender neutral fallback.
Its been known for a long time that the “prophet” is usually to old and senile to effectively run things. It therefore falls on the younger people in the org. And anyone who unilaterally controls the pursestrings on 100 billion is effectively in control.
I would think of it like howard Hughes who was in his later years almost entirely under the power of the mormon mafia who sacked his old guard generals and would drug him unconcious/relocate him and make him do whatever they told him. It is odd they never managed to transfer effective control of the business/money to themselves especially considering his fortune was placed into a trust to be executed upon his death but....
I would imagine that kind of circumstance could easily be the case. Old people are easily tricked and decieved. In spite of their proclamations anyone over 70 really shouldnt be in charge of anything. And they are all over 70.
They may not control ‘mormonism’ the church they do control the power the church has.
