Has anybody else been following this guy?

Too bad. I actually enjoyed the documentary about him called Rocket Man (Elton John didn't even make a cameo appearance). I think it's on Amazon Prime. Not one of the brightest bulbs in the tree but you've got to admire his determination and willingness to put everything on the line. Of course, the actual genius of this project is the designer behind the scenes - I forgot his name - who was observing safely from a distance.
I really, really wish he had been able to raise the money to do his suborbital flight and take pictures of a curved (oops) horizon.

YESSSS!
I saw his documentary on Netflix/Hulu/wherever.
1) Super sad he passed away. The death of a human soul should be treated with dignity and respect
2) That being said, holy spaceballs, this guy!!!! I can't be he lived as long as he did. If you watch the documentary, the only reason he survived hisfirst 2 luanches was dumb luck.
3) He was hilarious - watch his Tosh.0 interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMAw1v467uc&t=293s If this guy found a way to get laid, there's hope for the rest of us.
4) Congrats to him for being committed to a cause. If only all of us had the same passion and determination.
5) I partially blame the media networks for his death. Someone should have blown a whistle that this was unsafe and did their best to prevent the launch. Maybe they did. Maybe there was nothing they could to keep him from killing himself, but someone should have done something. Watch the video. WARNING WARNING WARNING https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dcs8YHBsBjY

Talk about ballzy! Really sad to see that failure and his demise. We really do need one of those flat earthers to get up there. I just hope they don't spin this guy's failure into some kind of conspiracy that bolsters their belief system, but they probably will.

Did this guy show up in the Netflix documentary, "Behind the Curve"? This was a very illuminating Flat Earther documentary and presented them in as sympathetic of a light as they could. But the final scene does show them running an experiment which does not support their beliefs. The show is well done and worth watching simply as a way to understand true believers who are faced with at least polite opposition to their beliefs. It's a situation that we deal with in our religious lives.
