Yeah overall slow and steady growth - about 1.5% overall.

I think at some point you can see the data on where the growth is coming from and of course would LOVE to see their active member data... but it's still chugging along albeit at a slow pace.

Gerard says that we must not let our zeal to keep the second great commandment cause us to forget the first. He is quoting a highly homophobic talk by Oaks from October 2019, as I recall. My question is since when is it acceptable for a church leader to instruct members to NOT follow a commandment, one from the mouth of Jesus, no less?

It's looking like the older leaders (Nelson, Oaks, Eyring) are unable to be there in person which is interesting... you could have a situation where they all go close together in the not too far off future.

They never understood that the two great commandments aren't at odds or rank one above another. They're one and the same. You can't obey one without obeying the other.

It's church leaders that have placed rules around proper and improper ways to love your neighbor. In doing so they're jeopardizing their ability to follow the first great commandment.
