And then, once the "you will never have to vote again" promise is fulfilled, Evangelicals will loose their inquisition on Mormons and other heretics. "Aw, c'mon guys, I thought we were BFFs!"

Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

In the election polling by each state, Utah is giving Trump the greatest lead (and the least for Harris). Perhaps that is because their values are similar (and Harris is not pure and delightsome).

Fascinating. Can you share a source?

I remember that I had Googled presidential polling by state. I looked at the first one that came up. It might have been by CNN.

I think the red color indicates either a desire to switch to authoritarian fascism or allegiance to Satan (or perhaps both).

I suspect Utah will be writing Project 2025 into its State Constitution.

“I have words. And they’re very good words. The best words. They’re English words. Yes, we need words. You know we have to have them. If you don’t have words you don’t have a country. And the Venezuelan gangs are stealing our words. Everyone sees it. We have to stop it. I’ll tax foreign words so you won’t hear them anymore. You know we have to do it. Then we’ll have the best words again.”

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump threatened to prosecute his political enemies “to the fullest extent of the law” should he win the 2024 presidential election and signaled once again that he would not accept defeat come November.

My recent insights regarding Trump:

I am always perplexed that the not-batsh!t-crazy Republicans let Donald run wild with such face-planting, jawdropping lies and manipulations. You know people like Graham, Rubio, and Cruz secretly hate his guts, even as they’re kissing his a$$. The obvious surface reason is that it’s because they need the Ideocracy vote, and he will tell the lies they need told, and debase himself to a degree that they can’t get away with. But that’s ok as long as it gets them as long as it keeps enough voters angry/frightened/misinformed.

Because here’s the thing: if Trump gets back in the Whitehouse, they can let him run amok and do as much damage as they have stomach for, and then discard him at the drop of a hat the moment his destruction no longer pleases them and starts eating his own. All they need to do is flip a couple of votes to align with the Democrats, who will be constantly chomping at the bit to eject him, and he will be gone. Just a tiny nudge.

But then what do you have? The most powerful man in the world would be that cold-hearted muf**kuh J. D. Vance, a Christian Nationalist and Project 2025er. A man made in the mold of Mike Johnson and his ilk.

After Project 2025 dismantles the United States, what will Republican politicians have? Will the LDS belief that Trump is the "One mighty and strong" be sustained?

Trump's dementia and fascist tendencies seem to increase daily.

BTW, I think the Saints will respond to Trump's call to use the military to curtail opposition as being a matter of moral agency and a call to stay on the covenant path lest they be culled from the herd.
