Double Jeopardy

Post by 2bizE »

In courts of law there is a precedent called Double Jeopardy. It means that you cannot be prosecuted for the same crime twice.
Does this same principle exist in courts of love? Could someone like Gina Colvin be prosecutes by a bishop for the same thing she was acquitted of saying/doing?

Also, there is a really good show called Double Jeopardy starring Ashley Judd ( which I of course have never seen because it is rated R)

I'm aware "no action" was taken in her cofl but if she was "warned" and then fails to heed that warning I doubt they would hesitate to bring her back for discipline.

Please don't compare the rule of law in a democratic republic to anything related to LDS-Inc. The laws of the country should be based somewhat on logic and reason. The "laws" of LDS-Inc. are based on the hallucinations of a bunch of bigoted, likely senile old men who live in a bubble and are surrounded by people who do nothing more than stroke those old men's crazy egos, and bow their heads and say yes to the old kooks.

If a believer happens to stumble on this post, the cognitive dissonance this could cause might be very painful.
