Vice News Tonight

Post by Just This Guy »

HBO's program Vice News Tonight ran a show tonight abuse within the church. I have not seen it yet, so I don't know details.

HBO Now has it posted, but HBO through Amazon prime does not as of my writing this. I'll post more when I get details.

Reddit had the 11 minute preview segment for this program. Pretty interesting.

If you have HBO through Amazon, they have posted this episode. Its the May 2, 2019 episode.

They focus heavily on the Martinsburg, WV case as well as the church support of abuse. The segment is about 13 minutes long.

I will say that they barely scratch the surface of how messed up this case is.

Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

LDS Inc. Put out a statement about the segment.

If course they denounce it. If course, what is their #1 complaint? The show used the incorrect name of the church.

Talk about royally missing the point.
