Latter day Pharisees

Post by 2bizE »

There is a post on Reddit on the Latter Day Saint board about Sabbath observance...
It is quite funny. Mormons are the best Pharisees.

Interesting to see the different spiritual maturity levels. Lots of questions about the efficacy of rules and practices.

Pretty amazing... and clearly there is no set rule on what is OK on Sundays with members since it is ALL over the place.

Edit: from another thread, but along the same lines  Image

I'm so glad I only believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster, the True and Living Elvis, and Machine Elves. It really changes the texture of one's weekend.

It is strange to read through that and see posts that I would have written 15 years ago (TBM), 10 years ago (questioning little things), 5 years ago(frustrated), and even today. There seem to be a lot of people there that I would consider fairly progressive.
