Arnold on Hate

Not directly Mormon related, but Arnold Schwarzenegger has a very powerful message about the dangers of hateful thinking. Some good food for thought.

That was overwhelming and tremendous. Thank you for sharing that with us. Very humbling.

This is a well thought out message, and I hope it reaches the people it is aimed at.
The part where Confederacy is compared to the Nazi's as a hate group struck me, because I know people who would push back on that. They would say the Civil War was about the South's right to secede, and the majority- The Northern States- forced them into a war. And they would be partly, very slightly right.
And sadly, that's where they would stop listening.
Where did first they go wrong? They saw their neighbor's mote, but not their own beam.
As Arnold said, "all of us hold some prejudices." "We have to fight it our whole lives." "[We] have to fight the war against ourselves."
God is Love. God is Truth. The greatest problem with organized religion is that the organization becomes god, rather than a means of serving God.

Let's hope November 5th will not be The Night They Drove Old America Down. Utah will cast its few votes to make this happen, but I hope the rest of America does not embrace this pathway and keeps true to its covenants.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.
