In which crazies gonna craze

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

I feel your pain w2mz. My crazy TBM ex was way more committed to the church and "her" family than to our marriage. I spent years waiting for her to moderate her views and at least become more accepting of my religious views. My wait was in vain and I was an idiot anyway. Once our sons were all of age there was nothing left. FWIW I am finally able to live an authentic life.

Oh, and I caught 100% of the blame, especially w/r/t my youngest 2 sons rejection of the church. None of us give a crap cause crazies gonna crazy.

Your results may vary [I hope they do.]

Be safe out there,

Sometimes, albeit very very infrequently, she has given me the slightest of hints that her orthodox rigidity would flex a tiny bit to allow me some authenticity in my life. Tonight pretty much stamped out any hope I had. Maybe I was seeing things that weren’t there.

GC really was an avalanche of confirmation bias and retrenchment for her apparently. I tried to avoid the talks as much as possible, she sat on the couch, took notes, and hung on evey word.

She insisted on FHE tonight and testified with all the appropriate descriptors about how she knows RN is a profit, and all the other self-appointeds are as well. Evidently holy the ghost told her so while RN was speaking.

I thought I was in a better place.

I’ve been silenced in my own home by the church. I am financially extorted month over month by the church, and I am well down the list of priorities to DW behind the church.

God I’m sick of this.

Sorry for the rant.
Sorry man. My heart goes out to you.
Are you on the square? Are you on the level?

I suffered through singing "praise to the man" at the end of F&T and had to just change the words I was singing to not throw up in my mouth.
Hey, I do that too.
