Most of the time young Joseph Smith sat on his porch playing the
banjo. There's no way he could have written the Book of Mormon
by himself.

Re: Prayer Circles

Muslims who make the pilgrimage to Mecca will form concentric circles around the Kaaba in prayer. Circles are also used in witchcraft. I imagine LDS usage sprung from the intertwining of folk magic in the LDS belief system.

Emergence of the Mormon Primate

We've been told that Mormons have been around since the beginning. In LDS cosmology, the first humans were Mormons and probably their progenitors were as well. The FAIR message board used to have details of varying earth species, as well as some primates, being polygamous in nature. What better proo...

Bishop Græy, wishing you the best and sending you power vibes through the monitor to help you cope with Settlement Saturday. If you had a Nerf basketball hoop in your office you could challenge each settler to a best five out of five.

Re: Tales of Tithing Settlement

It was very wise not to name this Tithing Shake Down. Acts 5: 1-11 Makes me wonder whether any LDS bishops have read the story of Ananias and Sapphira to couples coming in for tithing settlement/shakedown? However, I refuse to donate money to an investment fund, temple building program, or condo hi...

I think NOMs exist, but it certainly depends on each worldview.
The simple fact that we are posting on the message board he says no longer exists suggests either he is wrong or we are figments of imagination.

Dehlin Alternate Reality

I was listening to the latest Mormon Stories podcast when I heard John Dehlin describe to his guest that NOM no longer exists. It suddenly dawned on me that Mormon Stories was being posted to an alternate universe.

Best hot chocolate ever. I hope the Sandy villagers will give it a chance before attacking it with their torches and pitchforks.

Re: How do those of you in mixed faith marriages raise your kids?

I once took the kids with me to a Unitarian Church service. The way things worked at that time was the kids were with the adults for the first 10 minutes, then broke into their age classes to do some fun things. Their LDS mother was incensed when she heard that. "How dare you take them to a cult", s...
